friend replaced front wheel bearings on dodge neon, now brakes feel mushy?

okay what we need is an inspection...any run-0-the mill shop such as Goodyear can inspect and tell you that you need new hoses...or new calipers or just a brake system bleed...sounds to me like a hose is collapsing from not being tied back properly when the bearings were changed~...just a theory...judge
