Do you have a ballast resistor, on this model?~

You may want to consider updating to a 40,000 volt coil...solid state electronics....you could pluck the ignition system from a newer model....I did this on my '61 Plymouth Fury with a slant 6....tons of them out there....NONE are fuel injected~

check out summitracing.com to see if there's something that won't break the bank but will do a better job...I'll look with you~

What size engine do you have SummitRacing has some, but gotta know what size engine to proceed~
