I have a 1997 gmc sierra and the high beams click on, stay on for a little while, turn off by themselves and then turn on again by themselves, wondering if anyone ever ran into this problem.

Sounds like there's a short or overload that's causing the circuit breaker to trip. HTH. -Jim
