when you take your foot off or put it on the gas does it come back alive

when i put it in reverse then push on the gas it start to putter like it will die, it never has … taking my foot OFF the gas it come right back. its weird it sometimes when driving or turning corners it does the same thing and i take my foot off the gas it comes back slowly. I don't think the 2 are related but maybe they are??

clean your throttle body and see if that fixes it

could it be the distributor ? or would it be actually stalling?

Is the truck carbureted? If so, the choke my actually be stuck. If its electronic, it may be unplugged. Its sounds like the motor is falling on its face because its being flooded with fuel and not enough air.

ok thanks! it is carbureted.

had the carb rebuilt about 5 years ago but it only has about 1000 mi since then
