on a 1989 chevy truck c k series do the speaker wirers run directly to the speakers or do they run to something else then to the speakers
i hooked up a new stereo in the truck because i thought the other one blew a channel the stereo turns on but no sound the same thing is going on with the new stereo
test the impedance of the speaker....each one should be 4 ohms~ if they have no resistance...there is your problem...It is important for the unit to have good ground too~
to answer your question, unless you've an auxilliary BOOST amplifier...even then line out would be used...so NO, your speakers do NOT connect to anything other than the output stages of the amplifier (in stereo)~
Are you saying you wired your new stereo into the wires in the back or the dashboard radio above the heater controls? If so that's not the radio, it's just an auxiliary display, the radio itself is under the dash a little ways above the gas pedal on these trucks, follow the face wires to the box.
