I have a 2005 dodge Dakota crew cab 4.7L V8 magnum. They just replaced both heads etc. Now there's no oil preasure getting to the engine & it's running load..?! What's going on? I've spent a lot $$$
Oil pump is in the lower front timing cover on this engine.
Ok. So is there a chance that the motor is no good even after replacing both heads, etc.? There's a lot on this truck that is new. I& he says the oil pump is fine.,?! What should we check?
Is the engine making any kind of noise? If not then check the oil pressure with a manual gauge, it is possible that the stock sender or gauge is inoperative. If it is making noise then it has gone too long without oil pressure and will either need overhauled or replaced.
