Leaf Springs/ Datsun King cab 1979 Installation
Heading out for a fairly long trip and hauling a small trailer, what do the leaf springs do to keep things running smooth?
They are an integral part of the suspension, to keep the back of the truck level with the rest of the car and add some "spring" to the suspension. ALso hold the axle in place, especially during acceleration. If they are cracked/broken or sagging, I wouldn't be hauling anything till you replaced them.
