Cost of repair on a 2006 dodge charger r/t.

Asked by Jul 14, 2014 at 09:40 AM about the 2006 Dodge Charger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It is a 2006 dodge charger r/t.  The motor sucked up water going through a deep body of water in a flooded street.  We dried out the plugs and air filter.  It is now leaking oil.  A mechanic stated that we may have bent a valve in the motor.  What would ber the estimated cost of repair.

When water is sucked up into the motor, that is not good. Draining the oil to remove the water, removing the plugs should be done at a min. Sounds like you got the plugs changed. Since your leaking oil, you might also have water in there. If you continued to drive like this, then it is another issue. You might need a engine rebuild or replacement. Hard to give you a cost of repair at this point until you know what your going to have to do to fix. Ask your mechanic how much he will repair the engine for. Also change the trans fluid and differential fluid as those could have been compromised as well.
