1985 saab turbo - key goes in but can not turn in cylinder, can i start by jumping the wire at the ignition
the key goes in but does not turn in the cylinder
tries unlock spray etc but not luck
underground garage has no access for tow truck
can i hot wire it from the wires at the ignition switch
i already removed all of the housing around
What gear is the car in before you insert the key? It should be in reverse.
thanks, with the manual I removed all the housing and was ready to proceed with getting someone to drill out the lock when I guess the lubrication released something and it turns I left the key in as its parked in the garage in the unlocked position and removed the battery connection from one pole. I am still curious if it could be hot wired in an emerg with the key inserted as there is pretty easy access to the ignition wires once the plastic covering-and shields are removed
