Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi guys and girls. I´ve got a sebring 95. 2,5l, V6 engine and i live in Denmark (Took it with me from Iceland). Its the only 95 model sebring here and my aut trany is bustet. Can i use a trany from a 1996 stratus. its also a 2,5 L V6.
Know that the trany in the sebring is a A604/41TE, is it the same in the Stratus? my Sebring has only gone 58,xxx miles so im not to glad about it, had the car for seven years and always been nice to it. :). Can any one please have a answer for my question please.

Ok, since ive done the change my self, ill answer the question my self, Yes you can use a transmission from a stratus 1995-1996. Only thing you need to do is to remove the Box from the chrysler sebring trany ,So the the 3 electrical plugs fit. (placed in front) Fit it on the stratus trany, and replace the trany. This whole operation took me about 10 hours. Belive me its a bitch to change the trany, loads of work. (do it on a lift). Remember to change trany oil filter and replace the gasket on the pan. The A604/41TE works and a load of Chrysler models. just go on Wikipedia and type in A604/41TE Transmission, then you can get the list what cars from Chrysler uses that trany.
