The O/D light on my 2001 ford escape is blinking and I can only drive it a few feet and then it will stop moving like its in neutral. I haven't had any prior warnings r problems with this vehicle

O/D light blinking means a transmission fault. Time to have your Escape towed to your local garage for diagnosis. Might be a sensor/solenoid or worst case a transmission rebuild. Good luck.
