Pt cruiser 2001 chugging after hitting a snow drift now turns over but won't fire up and start where do I start.
I need more info what exactly do you mean a snow drift did the bottom of the car actually hit snow?
If that's the case there is a pretty good chance you damaged the crank positioning sensor which controls the timing for the firing for the spark plugs
Yes hit the snow drift and road over it engine died started it and it chugged to town .now turns over but sounds like it's bot getting gas?
If it is gas you can do a simple test buy brake or carburetor cleaner on a spray and spray the intake remove the air filter and you can apply it there if it starts or chugs you got a fuel problem how ever if that's not the case which I am almost positive is not the crank positioning sensor is under the car just above the oil filter you could have damaged it with the impact
I am sorry I live in Arizona so I am not very familiar with those incidents
air, fuel, spark, timing....valve timing~ You've got to check for all of these...if you got 'em you are going to be runnin' then....I'm gonna check for an inertia switch...you may just have to push a button to fix this~
okay...NO inertia switch...but you do have an ASD relay...(automatic shut down) you might pull and inspect to see if it's stuck off~
