2001 300M center speaker issue

I hope someone can help me, my center speaker only crackels when I'm on an AM station or play my IPOD (thru a casset connection). When I play a CD or FM it doesn't crackel.

Help! JJT

PS, to Michaelo2, thanks for the help on removing it if I have to.

If it did it all the time I would say that the speaker is shot. But when it only does it in the times that you say, I would lean more towards the deck itself.
