I am buying a Chrysler Sebring 2002 I have people
telling me it has a blown head gasket and some
people telling me it don't its not over heating but
the oil is a milky color it shuts off while I'm driving
it and it takes it a while to start back up the

Man is drop this thing like a hot rock, milky is almost always a sign of at least a blown headgasket, it could also be a cracked head, you won't know that until it is torn down, then you will need a new radiator, and most likely a water pump, hoses and a thermostat, and another thing that could really bite you down th road a bit is if it was doing all that sitting with water in the oil, if that has happened then there is sure to be bearing damage that will rear its ugly head sometime soon. Plus you have an engine management problem that shuts it down, it could be just a simple sensor or it could the a total ECM shutdown when it gets heated up. This one is going to take a lot of work, and being that it is an 02 I'm not sure it is worth sticking a lot of money into it.

Absolutely, keep shopping!! With the money you'll put into this 15 year old car you can get something newer that is in running condition!! HTH. -Jim

Amanda do not buy this car, like the others have pointed out, it's going to need a LOT of work, it should be considered a project car at best.
