ok car gurus here we go RR head gaskets on 04 300m
RR head gaskets stared car had lifter noise I let it run for area mins still a
noise came in next morning started car no noise test drove car fine shut it off
couple of hours. Started it up again lifter noise again but now over heated.
Water pump, timing belt and thereomstst was replaced what's with the lifter
noise? Why is it over heating,
What does the oil look like? A milkshake? Or real black and thick?
Oil should have been changed twice after the repair to ensure that any coolant contamination was removed. As for the overheating, was the cooling system refilled properly? Some vehicles require bleeding air from the cooling system once refilled. Were the head gaskets put on right side up? If not cooling system passages may now be blocked. HTH. -Jim
