Would this be the transmission or driveshaft?

Asked by Jul 20, 2015 at 04:58 PM about the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I take off in 1st gear at normal speed there is a  clunk and then a grind it stops in 2nd gear and shifts fine, But if I accelerate really slow from a stop I cant hear any thing. Thanks just needed some feedback before I take it to the shop/

Its Front-wheel drive car, so the closest thing it has to a driveshaft is the drive axles and CV joints. But yours is a difficult question to answer without hearing it. Could be CV joint(s), transaxle, or something else alltogether. Motor mounts comes to mind, suspension, brakes.
