i changed my starter and still wont turn over
my 2005 Chrysler 300 seemed like it had a dead battery so I charged it. it charged fully still wouldn't even crank so I changed the starter still wont do anything does any1 have any ideas or answers it would be much appreciated
Could be a security system problem. Are you using a new or different key? Turn on the headlights and try to start it. Do they get dim or go out? Or do they stay nice and bright? -Jim
Your old starter may have been OK. If the ignition switch has gone bad, a new starter, battery, etc. will not make it start. Check and replace the ignition switch if it is bad. You can test it by turning the key to start and seeing if you have 12V to the starter. There is also a starting solenoid that could be bad, if you are not seeing voltage at the starter terminal.
I'm having a similar problem. I replaced my starter In my 97 grand cherokee and still nothing. Light radio etc come on but nothing. Sounds like ignition switch what yall think?
