Use Chrysler Roadside Assistance to have this towed to a dealer. It sounds as though something perhaps electronic or mechanical has happened. Using Chrysler Roadside Assistance will allow the towing to be covered by any remaining warranty you might have. Their 800 number is listed on the Chrysler website. You may even have a blown CV axle which is causing the vehicle not to reverse.

The entire shifter probably needs replacing. Something is not up to par inside this models shifter and a peice of the shifter itself (which is housed inside a sealed box "the shifter control box") has broken off and jammed the shifter in park. You won't even be able to use the emergency unlock tab on the right side of the shifter, it will not unlock it out of park. The only solution is to replace the shifter control box.

aside from your shifter, make sure that when you hit the brakes that the shifter is being released because that will happen and that is an electronic problem that you want only the dealer to look at.

Are you parked on a hill? If so get a friend to give you a push in the opposite direction of the hill while you try to get the car out of gear. It's called gear lock, I haven't seen it too much on newer car but it could happen

I fixed my 2006 300 Tour with the video below. Took me 2.5hrs but I'm not handy. If you're good with tools, it will take less than 30m. See the video. You might have the same problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=- MWdfxsRzkY
