my 2002 thunderbird power steering is making noise and the steering is tight, I was told to have the power steering system flushed to correct the problem,any comments??

It wouldn't hurt to have it flushed but it's more than likely a bad pump in which case you will need to flush the system before installing new pump anyway, if there's a lot of contamination in the fluid, the damage is done.
