changed battery in 1997 catera now the engine is locked. what do i do now? please help!

Engine is locked?


Are you refering to your starter being hung? See if you can turn the enging useing the harmonic balancer bolt. Next, if you can, then turn the enginge backwards a couple of revolutions to see if the starter comes free. If not, the starter will have to be loosened or removed to awollow the bendix drive to return.
