I put abOut quart over fill of transmission fluid in my 1999 Cadillac Deville. Can it damage to transmission if I drive.
Are you checking the fluid level with the car warmed up and on and on a level surface? If your checking it cold it will look overfilled. If you are overfilled, you can suck up the extra fluid via the dipstick tube till your in the crosshatched area....http://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/fluid- pump/victor-siphon-pump/574855_0_0/
Yes, you can damage the trans if it way overfilled, blowing out the seals and gaskets.
Pull out about a quart and then do as "Tom" suggested - warm up the car on a level surface, shift through the trans positions as you do this (RNDL), and then check the level. If it is now truly low, add back small amounts until you reach full and STOP. Do not overfill.
