2001 cadillac deville battery just stop working correctly

Well to start, my car crunk and it started seeing on the dash that my battery was not
charging so after a couple hours it just went out and it is just dead now and all the
lights are out on it i really dont know whats wrong with it

Bad alternator more than likely,if battery and it,s connection are good.

New alternator for the caddy,will probably run about 200 dollar,s,and labor 100.
