locked ignition

My key will not fit into the ignition. The vallet key will not insert either. It feels like there is something blocking the key, but the ignition is clear. What would cause this to happen?

stuck or broken tumbler.. try a lubricant from the auto shop... i heard that wd40 is not too good for this job. if the lube doesn't work.. its a job for the shop.
