my 84 year old mother drives a 2003 cadillac seville gold edition. It has
65,000 miles on it. There is leakage from the car that is not oil or antifreeze - it
is clear and odorless. The car dealership dealership where she has it serviced
regularly told her they would have to take the engine out and reseal it to stop
the leakage at a cost of $3,600. The car has a ,ittle rust starting on the back
tirewell - but is pristine condition. Of course they want her to buy a new car.
What would you suggest?
Get another opinion, go to an independent shop that has good ratings in your area, tell them the story and let them check it out. Odorless and colorless tells me it is just water, could be just the A/C drain.
Thank you. Confirmed what I thought! IF she wants to sell this car - what would be a good price?
Unfortunately they aren't worth much just due to the reputation, and your has some cancer showing. I just bought a 03 Cadillac Deville that had an engine and tranny put in with no body damage for 2 grand so maybe that will give you some idea.
