Replaced Ford Explorer transmission

Asked by Mar 07, 2018 at 09:48 PM about the 2002 Ford Explorer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had my transmission on my 2002 explorer replaced 6
years ago for 3500 dollars.  It’s now slipping again.  Is this
normal?  How long should a transmission last?

144,325

With proper maintenance over 100,000 miles. Rebuilt ones are a gamble.
