What could be causing my optra to be gutless

Car has suddenly become gutless. What could be causing this problem?

No power.

Rmp's rev high and car has noi power . Can't get it to pick up speed


Might be the transmission or a clogged catalytic convertor or something else. Have it diagnosed at your local garage.

Agree with Tom,more than likely tranny.

try to clean the throttle body and check the MAF sensor. Normally it caused the faulty MAF(Mass Air Flow) sensor which positioned next the the air filter box to the throttle body side.
