I am looking for the sequence on how to program a new key for a 2006 chevy optra. I was able to get the vehicle running and moving but cannot lock and unlock the car with the key.. anyone out there can help?

Lost original key, went to the dealer and got new key. I programmed the key to start the car but it is not letting me lock and unlock the car from the new key.

Try pressing and holding both the lock and unlock buttons together for about 10 seconds or until the locks cycle. That's how it's done on older (early 2000s) GMs to synchronize the remote to the car. HTH. -Jim
