fuse box locatin

I'm trying to find the fuse box so I can
replace the radio fuse for an 1982 mercury
Grand marquis

There is a panel just below the steering column under the lip you will find screws that hold it in place, I can't remember if it was 4 or not, just lift the panel up slightly and the lock tabs will disengage the panel then you can see the fuse box. Be careful as these panel when they get old they become very brittle and you could break a hold down pivot.

Have you looked for a black plastic box under your hood close to your dash. Probably on the drivers side.
