I am in need of new catalytic converters but i want to know if that would cause my aftermarket JVC stereo to not turn on? it was going in & out but now it wont turn on at all.

The cats are not connected to your stereo.

Then do you have any idea as to what could be causing this?

A bad fuse? The connection at the back of the stereo may be loose.
