i have a 1972 124 spider and im getting gas in the oil any ideas

sounds most likely like your fuel pump

it has an electric fuel pump crompresion test is good took head off everthing looks fine

The gas is coming in thru the carb. get the card rebuilt ... or adjust float level and replace needle valve

Most of the time it means your fuel pump is know good or on its way out.

It has an electric pump near the gas tank ... it's not the fuel pump
