'86 GMC Jimmy w/a rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet Carb. it will bog down/ stall. Everyone we have talked to is not sure what could be wrong.
It will drive like it is brand new, then all of a sudden it will "bog down/stall" it will act like it doesn't have any power, it doesn't matter if we are going up a hill or on level ground. About a year ago I bought a rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet Carb. 4 barrel for it. everyone we have had look at it or we asked questions too, they have no idea what could be wrong. Please if anyone has any suggestions what to do please reply!
Test the fuel pump. Along those lines replace fuel filter(s).
Im having the same problem i was told that the power valve is bad the man that told me is a q jet guy so lets hope. Plus i just went thru quarter tank in 40 miles
Make sure the accelerator pump is working.
