im guessin around 15-20 thousand

I think maybe you are thinking of a different car. I should have been more specific. This is a 1977 Chevette that has been sitting for several years. 2 door with hatch back. needs paint and floor boards. Interior excellent, motor runs great(69,000) miles. Body is good, glass good, needs carb work, tires, and other misc. mechanical. I had a guy offer me 500.00 just wondered if this is a good price? thank you for your time and response. I wish I had a car worth 20,000

Tell the guy 700 and you did well

A 20 grand Chevette! $500 for a car that is not desirable and has the floor rusted out is a good price.
