When i start my truck it runs for a few secs and
dies out unless I keep the excellrator down... How
do I fix this

fuel filter restriction maybe bad fuel pump should be mechanical fuel pump that year

well then since its carburated maybe a bad accelerator pump in carb

you may want to get you a can of carb cleaner and spray around the carb base plate gasket when you have it running a leaking base plate gasket could also cause your issue
