https://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/kingpins.htm , Youtube has plenty of vids on the topic too. No way to judge how long it will take, because it all comes down to just how stuck they are. You can get a hydraulic press to make getting them out easier, depends on how much money you want to spend. For a one-time use, probably try the method described in the link above before splurging on a press.
