car dies while driving

car starts good runs smooth but going down road it will just die will start back run awhile then dies again not low on gas changed fuel line filter

If it's carborated, it could be a sticking float or valve. There might be a filter in the carb too.

ITS REMOTELY POSSIBLE THE STRAINER IN TANK IS IN BAD CONDITION also possible is pump is on way out i have the same car w a {similar problem} though---ENTIRLY COMLPLETLY-DIFFERENT no restart
