d1ve 142 b engine block, is it internally ballanced or externally balanced

Asked by Sep 18, 2019 at 12:27 PM about the 1972 Lincoln Continental

Question type: General

I have a d1ve 142 b engine that is supposedly come out of a 72 Lincoln. I'm told that it was  a 460 that is internally balanced. I need to make sure. I'm having problems getting a starter to mesh deep enough into the fly wheel ring gear. ( standard trans clutch and flywheel). Tell me what I've got please.
