Not cranking over

Asked by Apr 08, 2018 at 09:54 AM about the 1971 Lincoln Continental

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark 3. I've put
new Edelbrock Carb, fuel pump, coil, distributor cap
and points also new starter solenoid. I drove it out
of town last night for the first time and took it out
on the highway. Drove perfect then started boggin
down on my way back. I would gas it and it would
hesitate and backfire. Then after a little bit ran
beautiful again with no problems. I go to start it
this morning and won't fire up. Carb is getting gas ,
any feedback would be great
