1969 Lincoln continental fuel primer

Asked by GuruMQX3K May 23, 2020 at 04:53 PM about the 1969 Lincoln Continental

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey! I just hooked up a new carburetor and
wiring harness on my Lincoln 1969
continental. To the best of my knowledge
everything is correctly installed. I have voltage
everywhere when I cycle the key except to the
fuel pump. What would cause this issue?
When I cycle the key there is power
everywhere and usually the fuel pump should
prime after 2.5 seconds however this is not
the case

A 69 Lincoln Continental does not have an electric fuel pump! It has a mechanical fuel pump bolted to the side of the engine!! Hope that helps! Jim
