I have a trailer hitch I would like to install, it is not made for the Ranchero, I don't see any

You might be able to take the hitch you have to a trailer supply outfit and they might be able to modify it ti fit your rig. Ranchero's just weren't designed for towing, they are just a modified Torino so they are actually just a car.
