Car shakes violently when in traffic. I have to switch off, and then switch on again. This happens intermittently.

Started happening after we had a severe storm

i am not sure because its my wifes car and she goy stuck in Isipingo but the water did not enter the car so i am not sure ? what wiring or electrical could be the problem ?
