Lowering a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500

Asked by Feb 10, 2011 at 04:56 PM about the 1964 Ford Fairlane

Question type: Car Customization

I want to lower my '64 Fairlane by 2 inches. I'm thinking about lowering blocks for the rear end. Should I worry about axle angles with 2" lowering blocks? Can you recommend a set of lowering blocks?

As for the front end, I want to drop 2" there too. What's the best method on the cheap? Cutting coils? Spring clamps? Replacement coil springs from another model?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

rear lowering blocks will be fine, never cut or heat front coils, get 2 inch lowering coil springs.

2" not a problem on your Fairlane.
