From scanning Ebay engines, I believe the 85-95 engines should all be compatible for the 22RE engines. If the '92 has a 4 cylinder engine, you will probably run into a difference in motor mounts. You will also have to swap computers and wiring harnesses. For more in depth info, you may want to get on Toyota Nation and ask those guys. They are all into engine swaps. I usually stick to the same year. Makes life easier. Good luck!
