I have a 1969 galaxie 500 390 fe with the 2
borrow carb it's missing the automatic
choke rod don't know much about
carburetors should I get it fixed or replaced
it with a new one I'll see if I can post pics
found a cab at pick N pull  on a 71 van
looks a little different but same fit

It also looks like your missing the fulcrum and attaching screw for the choke plate as well as the rod, most Ford 2BL carbs used the same system, just the choke caps were changed, so if the other carb has those parts you can easily swap them, I say easy but if you don't have any carb experience it would be somewhat of a challenge but if your careful and watch the placement of all the components and gaskets I'm sure you can fix this.

That's it the one I have is part of carb one more question the choke on the old car has an electric plug to it

The new one i'm getting tomorrow has a vacuum line to the exhaust manifold

So that carb use's heat from the manifold to warm up the choke heater, I would block off the vacuum port from the choke housing and the fresh air tube on the air horn plate, and then put the electric choke cap on that carb and adjust it to specs, electrics work a lot better than just an vacuum heated one.
