I think that in general it's not a very good idea to be looking at cars with such high mileage. You need to know how the car has been maintained and what has been replaced and whether or not routine maintenance was done. That being said, 156km is not high for an 11 year old car.

i currently own a 96 acura rl and i have put near 171 k miles on it. have had transmission work and does currently have an oil leak and needs new oxygen sensors. as far as the engine as a whole id say 300k miles. mine still runs strong and can even take reguar fuel

I have a 1996 Acura RL with 204,000 miles on it. I have had not a problem with it. Everything still works on it. The RL is a very well built car.

It is a good idea to find out the past history of the car. I bought a 2003RL with 111,000. I had no problem purchasing this car as it had been well maintained.

Yea I agree....its all about how the car was maintained....was the oil changed regularly...was the t belt water pump and pump replaced....were all fluid changed ever 10-15000 miles.....if t was well maintained u can easily hit 300,000+

Hi, as for the Acura RL as long as no oil leaks timing belt and fluids have been kept up spark plugs and so on i would never worry about high miles i have 1 it has 2001.000 it still runs like the engine hasn't been broke in it wouldn't surprise me to get 4000.000 or more miles from an 3.5 Honda engine
