My car dies while running especially when coming
to a stop. Sometmes if I give it gas i can prevent it from stalling. Now it wont
start could it be i burnt out the starter or could the problemb be the same . when
i bought the car the check engine light apperead not to be working? because it
never goes on. please help

I'm not too familiar with Mercedes but it should illuminate the engine light at startup, just so you know it's working. Try pulling codes on it just to see what may be stored. The 'stalling-unless-you-give-it-gas' may be due to the intake air control (IAC) valve (or motor) As to not starting now, there's just too many variables as to what can cause that. Check all the basics - air, fuel, spark. If you've been cranking it alot lately, the battery may simply be dead. Check it for charge or get a jump.
