2005 taurs want start how do i no what to check it makes a clicking noise want turn over

sounds like your battery is dead. if you can jump start the car test the voltage at the battery with the engine running. you should have 14+ volts, if not your alternator is probably bad. also have the battery load tested.

we had the alt tested it was fine befor this happened the battery light came on but did not allways come on had battery checked to be for thisw happened ichanged one of the battery cables after it died thats not the problem i guess cause it sill want start it just clicks

See if you can short across the solenoid at the starter. Starter might be bad.
