how do you reset fuel after putting a fuel pump in a 1991 chevy astro van

Put a fuel pump in.you can hear the pump running,but I'm not getting any fuel

Not at all.even disconnected the line rt by the fuel pump and fuel filter to see if it was pumping gas.pumps running.but no fuel.

the pump is working ,did you change the filter? you might have a kink in the line somewhere .

hi, tested my pump with a battery and pump was pumping so I put it back in the tank and it was making all the noises but not pumping out of the tank, thought it strange ,then heard the pump only has a two volt feed and had tested mine with 12 volts ,so ordered a new pump from Bradford and dropped the tank again fitted the new pump and it fired up straight away ,...just thought I would share the experience, this was on a 1994 gmc dayvan
