Starter is good my ignition is good i have a bad fly wheel thats wears down the starter gear and is hard to start is there a way to fix this without changing flywheel
Sorry to say this ,but no,have to replace flywheel.
Is there teeth missing on the flywheel? Is the starter gear to close to the ring gear binding. If there are teeth missing or they are worn down to nothing then you will need to replace. If the starter is to close to the ring gear causing the gears to bind and the starter to fail or the nose to break you can purchase and install shims to gain clearance. Good luck. Is it an auto/manual 2wd/4wd. Do you have an area/tools to repair your self??
