Step on the gas to set the choke and then turn the key.

Cold engine: turn on the ignition key but don't crank the engine. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor ONCE and release. With your foot off the accelerator pedal, start the engine. Warm engine: hold the accelerator pedal about 1/4 of the way down and crank the engine. As soon as the engine starts, remove your foot from the accelerator pedal. HTH. -Jim
