I have a 1977 4 door Buick Century Regal with a 305 engine, 2 barrel. I believe that the line from the key ignition to the battery has a fuse in it that blew. I remember seeing a flash. Will I need toreplace the whole cable?

NOT SURE IF IM UNDERSTANDING..IF THE FUSE AND OR SOME WIRE IS BURNT....CANT YOU/IT BE REPLACED WHERE NEEDED?? A PICTURE OR MORE INFO MAYBE??
